Complete medical assessment
An annual checkup is a complete medical assessment that begins with a thorough physical exam. Your furred, feathered, or scaled family member’s eyes, ears, skin, heart, digestive, and skeletal system are examined for any abnormalities.
If necessary, our veterinarians will recommend blood and urine tests to assess proper functioning of your pet’s kidneys, liver, pancreas, and endocrine (hormone) system, including thyroid and adrenal glands.
And depending on what we find, we may also recommend further diagnostic tests such as x-rays, endoscopy (internal scoping), ultrasound, or surgical tests such as biopsies.
|Annual wellness exams include routine screenings for a variety of potential diseases and conditions. These screenings include an individualized risk assessment of your furred or feathered friend’s environment.
This can include where you live, the disease risks we’re aware of within your community, your pet’s interaction with other pets or wildlife, your travel plans, and other lifestyle factors.
